video idea – get in touch with Sheffield Fc about doing a match report on one of their games. wanting to get post match interviews with players and film the mach for highlights.
infographic idea -produce a 5-10 slide of different statistics to show how women’s football has grown over years in different ways. eg the money put into it, attendance and increase in participation
written piece idea – when contacting Sheffield FC ask if i could do an interview with the manager for a written piece.
photojournalism idea – when filming my interviews get a couple of pictures of the players for my images. get one of them holding a ball or kicking a ball.
Lucy Ridley Planning
- How important is playing football and sport in general for young people? (has recently spoken about it being important for girls to take part in sport for health and fitness and to make social connections)
- Read that your sponsored by social vision, how important is sponsorship for women’s football to thrive.

above are screenshots of me planning my interview with Rotherham united player Lucy Ridley. the interview did take time to get round to as she had other commitments however in the end i did manage to film the interview and use it for y video piece.
Written piece planning
Story bard for my video piece

I created a story board to give me an idea of what i wanted my end product to look like. it was useful for when it came to filming the interview as i knew which shots i needed to get of Lucy instead of just turning up with a camera and filming whatever.
I knew my video wouldn’t go exactly how my story board looked but it gave me . couch idea.
Equipment list for interview
- DSLR camera
- Tripod
- Memory card
- Iphone
- Football
When it came to filming my interview i wanted to keep the amount of equipment i used to a minimum as i knew i didn’t have long to film with Lucy so i didn’t want to spend half of my time setting equipment up.
The only other thing i feel i should have used it a clip on mic and maybe shot the interview on my iPhone as the audio quality wasn’t very good. i felt it was very muffley at times and it interrupts what she was saying.

Before making my infographic i spent quite a lot of time on Vengage having a play around with different features so that when it came to actually making it i knew what sort of things would be effective.
I wanted to see what different texts and layouts i could use. i felt it was important to get the correct layout as it would be the difference between my product making sense and not making sense.

I also looked at how i could change the shape of my images. I felt if all my images were the same then my infographic would become repetitive so beforehand i looked to see what could change such as images and text.
