There are lot of things good with this interview such as the camera angle. the camera has been set up in a position where the interviewees aren’t looking straight into the camera and that’s good as the subject of the interview is quite serious so it would be inappropriate to have them looking straight down the camera.
It would make many viewers feel uncomfortable. The interviewer has also places him self in. good position so that the people being interview are looking at him and not at the camera.
This interview however is a lot more time consuming than the previous video that is just filmed on a iPhone camera. With this interview a lot of planning will have had to go into into such as contacting the people that are going to be interviewed and where they will be interviewed. On the day things would have to be set up like the lights to get the correct lighting and the room of the interview would have to be right too for the audio to sound clear and not echo.
The camera shot in this video has used rule of thirds you can see this throughout the video as the camera as been positioned in a place where the interviewees eyes are just above the centre of the screen. this is a basic video technique however its very effective.
The interviewer does a good Job when asking his questions as it is quite a sensitive subject. When asked if the 2 men were a part of the IS Beatles one of the men hesitated to answer and tried to ignore the question. The interviewer pushed for an answer and asked him again. I feel this was good from the person interviewing as the audience watching would have wanted the answer.
Extinction rebellion
The video is filmed on a phone camera which means that there is probably more of a raw reaction where if it was a planned video.
As it is filmed on a phone it means the quality isn’t as high as if it was shot on a normal camera but it means if anything does happen hats not planned then you can be quick to get some footage of it.
The camera work on this video is quite shaky which is quite common when recording on a phone so it can be quite hard for people to understand what’s happening.
Another good feature of this video is the different clips used throughout. rather than just having the man on the plane for the entire video with little bullet points, they have included different clips of the protest to back the point of the article up.
