Problem Solving

one problem I’ve had so far is organising my interview. I have been in contact with the general manager (Helen Mitchell) of the Sheffield FC Ladies team however no interview has been finalised yet.

I will attach images of the emails from Helen below.

The idea for my video was to produce a match report, this would include clips from the game and interviews from the players and the management staff and for my written piece I was going to do a feature article about Helen herself.  . Helen let me know that I would only be able to go down on ether a Tuesday or Thursday night, however this wouldn’t allow me to fulfil what I waned to do for my idea.

After repeatedly trying to get back in touch with her to see if I could go down to film a match report with no response I decided to get in touch with other people who I maybe able to do something similar with.

In the end I decided to split my written piece and video piece into two separate thing rather than do both of them about the same thing.  I got in touch with the club manager of Doncaster belles ladies team for my written part of my assignment. This time I was able to arrange an email interview and carry out my feature article.

  1. You need to discuss how you dealt with this problem. There is an e-mail from Helen letting you know when she is available ie Tuesday’s and Thursday evenings and that you could turn up at one of these training sessions to do the interview. Why didn’t you instead of waiting for a definite date?
How did you move on from this problem? What choices did you make to allow you to continue with your project.
